Why Full-Frame
Sometimes you rebuild the opening, not just the window.
Insert replacement windows are perfect when the existing frame is sound. But when it isn’t — a new addition, a remodel that moves or resizes openings, or an old window where the frame and the wall around it have rotted — you need to work at the framing level. That’s new-construction, or full-frame, installation.
A new-construction window has a nailing flange that fastens to the wall studs and integrates directly with the house wrap and flashing. That makes it the right tool for building a brand-new opening, changing an opening’s size, or starting fresh where the old frame is beyond saving — and it’s what new homes and additions use by design.
The whole game here is water management. We install the sill pan, flashing, and wrap laps in the correct sequence so the opening sheds water for the life of the wall, then finish the interior and exterior cleanly. Coordinating framing, flashing, and siding is exactly the kind of work this method demands.

When It's the Right Choice
Where full-frame windows shine
Additions & new builds
The standard method for new openings — flashed and sealed into the wall as the structure goes up.
Rotted or failed frames
When the old frame or the wall around it is water-damaged, full-frame lets us rebuild the opening right.
Resizing openings
Want a bigger window or a new one where there wasn't one? Full-frame works at the framing level to make it happen.
Watertight by design
Proper sill pans, flashing, and wrap integration mean the opening sheds water for the life of the wall.
Structurally sound
Fastened directly to framing, with any compromised studs or sheathing replaced before the window sets.
Builder-friendly
We coordinate with framing and siding schedules so windows drop into the build cleanly and on time.
How It's Installed
Five steps, and none of them get skipped.
Fast doesn’t mean rushed. Every step below exists because skipping it is what turns a 30-year exterior into one that leaks, rots, or fails in a couple of seasons.
In-home measure & itemized quote
We walk the home, measure every opening and elevation, and help you choose the right material and color. You get a clear, itemized price before any work begins.
Tear-off & inspection
Old siding or windows come off, and we inspect the sheathing and framing underneath — this is where hidden rot, water damage, and missing house wrap turn up.
Repair & weatherproofing
Rotted sheathing is replaced, then house wrap and flashing go on around every window, door, and seam. This unseen layer is what actually keeps water out for decades.
Precise installation
Siding, windows, and trim are installed level, plumb, and properly fastened with the right expansion allowance — sealed and finished so it performs, not just looks good.
Clean-up & walkthrough
We run a magnet for stray nails, haul off all debris, and walk the finished job with you. The home is left weathertight and tidy at the end of every day.
New-Construction FAQ
Common full-frame window questions
When do I need new-construction windows instead of replacement windows?
New-construction (full-frame) windows are used when there's no sound existing frame to insert into — new builds and additions, of course, but also existing homes where the old window frame or the wall around the opening has rotted, or when you're changing the size or shape of an opening. They fasten with a nailing flange to the wall framing and integrate with the house wrap and flashing, which makes them the right call whenever the opening itself needs to be rebuilt.
Can you change the size or add a new window opening?
Yes. Because full-frame installation works at the framing level, we can enlarge an opening, add a brand-new window where there wasn't one, or reconfigure openings during a remodel or addition — coordinating the framing, flashing, and siding so the new opening is structurally sound and watertight.
Why does flashing matter so much on new-construction windows?
Because the window is tied directly into the wall assembly, the flashing and house-wrap integration are what keep water out of the wall. A window can be perfect and still leak if the sill pan, flashing tape, and wrap laps aren't done in the right order. Proper flashing is the difference between a watertight opening and a hidden leak that rots the framing — and it's exactly the step we don't rush.
Do you work with builders and on additions?
Yes — we install new-construction windows on additions, major remodels, and new builds, and we're comfortable coordinating with a general contractor's framing and siding schedule. Tell us the openings and the timeline and we'll flash, set, and seal the windows to spec so the rest of the build goes smoothly.
