Why Doors
The hardest-working, most-seen part of your exterior.
Your front door sets the tone for the whole house — it’s the first thing guests touch and the centerpiece of your curb appeal. It’s also a hard-working opening that has to seal out weather, keep the home secure, and operate smoothly thousands of times a year. An old, drafty, or sticking door quietly fails at all three.
A new door fixes the looks and the performance at once. Fiberglass and steel entry doors offer security and efficiency with low maintenance; patio and sliding doors open a room to the backyard with a big, efficient expanse of glass; and storm doors add a layer of protection and ventilation. Whatever the door, the frame, weatherstripping, and installation are what make it seal tight and swing true.
We install the complete assembly — not just a slab — level, plumb, flashed, and sealed, with a reinforced frame and quality hardware, so the door looks great and performs for years.

Why Homeowners Choose It
What a new door gives you
Instant curb appeal
The front door is the focal point of the entry — a new one lifts the whole look of the home immediately.
Better security
A solid door in a reinforced frame with a quality deadbolt is far harder to force than a tired old assembly.
Sealed against drafts
New weatherstripping and an insulated core stop the air leaks that make entryways cold and bills higher.
Low maintenance
Fiberglass doors resist dents, rot, and warping and can look like wood without the constant upkeep.
Patio doors that flow
Sliding and French patio doors open a room to the yard with a big, efficient, smooth-operating glass opening.
Built to last
Installed as a complete, flashed, sealed assembly so it swings true and stays weathertight for years.
How It's Installed
Five steps, and none of them get skipped.
Fast doesn’t mean rushed. Every step below exists because skipping it is what turns a 30-year exterior into one that leaks, rots, or fails in a couple of seasons.
In-home measure & itemized quote
We walk the home, measure every opening and elevation, and help you choose the right material and color. You get a clear, itemized price before any work begins.
Tear-off & inspection
Old siding or windows come off, and we inspect the sheathing and framing underneath — this is where hidden rot, water damage, and missing house wrap turn up.
Repair & weatherproofing
Rotted sheathing is replaced, then house wrap and flashing go on around every window, door, and seam. This unseen layer is what actually keeps water out for decades.
Precise installation
Siding, windows, and trim are installed level, plumb, and properly fastened with the right expansion allowance — sealed and finished so it performs, not just looks good.
Clean-up & walkthrough
We run a magnet for stray nails, haul off all debris, and walk the finished job with you. The home is left weathertight and tidy at the end of every day.
Exterior Doors FAQ
Common exterior door questions
What type of entry door is most durable — steel, fiberglass, or wood?
Fiberglass is the sweet spot for most homes: it resists dents, rot, and warping, insulates well, and can convincingly mimic wood grain with far less maintenance. Steel doors are the most affordable and very secure, though they can dent and show wear. Wood doors are the most beautiful and traditional but need the most upkeep against NC humidity. We help you match the material to your priorities — security, efficiency, looks, and budget.
Will a new front door really improve energy efficiency?
Yes — an old, poorly sealed door leaks a surprising amount of air. A new entry door with a proper frame, weatherstripping, and an insulated core (plus energy-efficient glass in any sidelights or lites) seals the opening tight and stops the drafts you feel in the entryway. It's a small opening with an outsized effect on comfort right where people come and go.
Do you install patio and sliding doors too?
Yes. We install sliding-glass and French patio doors as well as entry and storm doors. Patio doors are a big glass opening, so proper flashing, a level sill, and a good Low-E glass package matter both for water management and for keeping the room comfortable. We size, flash, and seal them for smooth operation and a watertight threshold.
Can a new door improve security?
Definitely. Beyond a solid door slab, security comes from the whole system — a reinforced frame and strike plate, quality deadbolt, and a properly fitted, well-anchored installation. A door is only as secure as the frame it's hung in, so we install the complete assembly correctly rather than just swapping a slab.
